The premium version, which is only $5 a month (or, 9.95 a month, depending on how you buy it), adds some awesome convenience tools. Job coaches talk until they are blue in the face, pleading with their job seekers to “network after you land a job.” JibberJobber makes networking easier, whether you are in transition or happily employed. It’s not just for today’s job search… it’s for in-between job searches, when you are still networking. JibberJobber is a long-term career management tool. JibberJobber helps you feel organized, allowing you to spend more time talking to people who can help you in your job search. JibberJobber helps you organize and track. JibberJobber is the answer, just like CRM is for SMB (small/medium businesses). In my 2015 cross-country trip, I talked to hundreds of people who were fed up with their spreadsheet as a job search tool. For people who find that a spreadsheet is a below-average tool to organize and manage a job search. For people who don’t want to have a long job search. But instead of designing a system for salespeople, we designed a system for job seekers. The concept of CRM became the foundation for JibberJobber. In fact, you can’t afford not to!”ĬRM means “customer relationship management,” which refers to the software that salespeople use to keep track of their prospects and customers. Of course, my brain took the idea straight to the job search world, and my translation became: “Even the smallest job seeker (whatever that means) can afford today’s easy-touse solution ( JibberJobber). The subtitle says “even the smallest companies can afford today’s easy-to-use solution. “Get out of the building” is really easy to say, but it’s much harder when it’s you trying to stop a pedestrian on Camden High Street so you can wave your crazy prototype in their face.I saw this article on Inc.com that grabbed my attention: CRM Enters the SMB Mainstream. Just a final note to praise the courage of the participants. Never fail to impress!!!” - Kate Callaghan, Digital Planning & Product Manager, BHF Don’t take our word for it though: “Subsector are a dream to work with and such personable but knowledgeable presenters. And in terms of a learning exercise, we strongly believe that this active approach beats death-by-PowerPoint every time. There was a real sense of awe about what could be achieved in just one day using this methodology. The participants were provided with an Agile Toolkit and series of templates to help them find out more and introduce some of the practices to their teams. That was a lot to take in in a single day so it was quite intense. discuss the implications for their teams, their role as a leader, or for the organisation as a whole.hold a retrospective on what worked, what didn’t, what they’d do differently next time and what steps they’d take next.take their prototype around the streets of Camden in North London canvasing for feedback from “real” people.create a prototype / MVP as a vehicle for their test.design a way of testing their hypothesis.construct a hypothesis that might solve their problem.prioritise stories and create a backlog.explore audience segmentations and create user stories.map how customer problems and BHF ambitions align.Over the course of the “Sprint in a Day”, teams went on to: This in itself led to an inspiring discussion about the benefits and implications of this way of organising. The plan was to take the participants through all of the key activities of an Agile sprint in a single day (Google Ventures need 5 days apparently – they really need to step it up!) We were able to create a set of truly cross-functional teams, with participants drawn from across various BHF Directorates: Fundraising, Healthcare Innovation, IT, Volunteering and more. We named the final format “Sprint in a Day”. What better way to teach people about the principles and practices than to get them using them. This way of working has generated a lot of interest around the organisation, especially in teams with no responsibility to create software or digital products. The BHF’s Digital Team are expanding rapidly and embracing (Large Scale) Scrum-based Agile. There’s no shortage of jibber-jabber about “agile” in media and business circles, so we focused on designing something very practical in an attempt to bust some myths. Recently we’ve had the very great pleasure of designing a Sprint in a Day workshop with the team at the British Heart Foundation.
